- The parish hall restroom have been fully demo’d and the slab removed. This week we will begin pouring the new slab. The floor will be polished concrete like the classroom restrooms, but we will be introducing a dye to the concrete to give it more color. We are on track with the construction plan.
- The courtyard restrooms have been restored: the old flourescents were pulled and replaced with can lights, the fans had their motors replaced to make them operational, all surfaces were repaired and painted, and sink mirrors were installed. Thank you to the many parishioners that worked on this project to make these restrooms more attractive and functional as we wait for the parish hall restrooms to be remodeled.
- The new track light fixtures are arriving on March 12. However, they require an upgraded dimmer system, and the lead on that item is four weeks. Please pray that it arrives sooner so that we can restore the lighting in the church.
- We have initiated bids for several other capital projects, including: pavers for the picnic area, replacing the playground equipment with something that meets code and the wood chips with a padded, rubberized mat (safer and easier to maintain), adding some concrete and additional lighting to the parking lot, restoring the sidewalk on 44th Street, building fences around the utility areas in the field and picnic area.
